Day1
| Arrive Cochin
When you arrive in Cochin you will be met by our
local representative and brought to your hotel,
home for the next two nights. The rest of the day
is yours to relax and explore.
Day 2
| Cochin
After breakfast you’ll enjoy a guided city tour
including the Mattancherry Palace, Francis Church
(the oldest in India) and the famous Chinese fishing
nets. You’ll stroll through the old Jewish Quarter
and visit the Synagogue - Jews have lived here
since the time of King Solomon. This evening we’ll
enjoy a classical dance-drama “Kathakali”, based
on Hindu epics and highlighted by the amazing
make-up and costumes. (B)
Day 3
| Cochin to Thekkady
Today we’ll head to Thekkady for a two-night stay.
After you’ve settled in we’ll pay a late afternoon visit
to the local bazaar, followed by a demonstration of
“Kalayaripattu”, Kerala martial arts. (B)
Day 4
| Thekkady
Thekkady is the heartland of spices. After breakfast
we’ll embark on a spice tour through the city of
Kerala, where India’s famous spices - cardamom,
pepper, vanilla, nutmeg and cloves, are grown.
You will also pass through coffee and tea
plantations, visit a tea factory and end the day
with an enchanting jungle walk. (B)
Day 5
| Thekkady to Kumarakom via Alleppey
After breakfast we’ll drive to Alleppey. Kerala offers
a unique opportunity to experience a breath-taking
network of lagoons, lovely lakes and canals. The
best way to experience the Kerala backwaters
is by houseboat (also known as Kettuvalloms).
You’ll thoroughly enjoy your leisurely journey along
the Kerala backwaters on luxurious houseboats,
lunching as you go.... We’ll arrive in Kumarakom
by boat and transfer to our hotel – the rest of the
evening is free to relax or explore as you wish. We’ll
be here one night.(B,L)
Day 6
| Kumarakom to Kovalam
We’ll share breakfast at hotel, check-out and drive
to Kovalam, a beach town on the Arabian Sea.
Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and
true to its name, the village offers endless vistas of
coconut trees. We’ll check into the hotel and spend
the rest of the day at leisure - enjoy the beach or just
relax by the hotel pool. We’re here for two nights. (B)
Day 7
| Kovalam
Today is yours to spend as you wish.... Kovalam
seems to have something for everyone and is built
for relaxation. Take leisurely swim or a surfing lesson,
enjoy a massage, shop or take in a cultural program.
Take your pick -- it’s all here. (B)
Day 8
| Kovalam to Trivandrum
Enjoy breakfast, exchange contacts, compare
photos – we’ll get you to Trivandrum airport in plenty
of time to connect with your onward flight.(Flight
